The Stock Dispatching module of ERP Mark 7 ensures that all kinds of orders are dispatched accurately to the provided shipping address. The stock dispatch allows items to be placed in specific packages purposes of further shipment. The system allows the user to scan an order reference number for items required for shipment. Stock dispatching is applied mainly to modules like sales orders, purchase returns, work orders, and transfer orders.

Stock Dispatching Through Purchase Returns

Receiving and dispatching items to or from suppliers is a fundamental part of retailing. All purchase items that need to be sent back to the suppliers in case of damaged, soiled, oversupply, incorrect item has to go through a purchase return process. The stock dispatching process includes picking the correct quantity of purchase return item from the stock address, packing items carefully and shipping it to the vendors’ address.

  • Navigate to Order Management app > Stock Dispatching tab
  • Select Return to Vendor from the dropdown picklist to complete the stock dispatching of purchase return orders.

  • Select the purchase return and click “Pick” to pick the products from the available stock address.
  • Select the purchase return line item and click the “Pick” button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
  • Select the chosen item and click the “Pack” button.
  • Select the Package type, Shipment type (it can be UPS, FedEx or Internal Shipment) and enter the deposit tag number to identify the package.
  • Enter the quantity to pack, then click the “Save” button.
  • To ship the packed item, click the “Ship” button.
  • Complete the UPS/FedEx shipping details form and initiate shipment of purchase return items.

Stock Dispatching Through Work Orders

After all the work order line items in a work order are qualified, there comes a major process of dispatching the finished items to an inventory. ERP Mark 7 empowers users to dispatch items to the location quickly and efficiently and provides clear visibility of the entire process at any given time.

  • To dispatch work orders, navigate to the Order Management app > Stock Dispatching tab.
  • Select “Work Orders” from the picklist to complete the stock dispatching of work orders.

  • Select the work order and click “Pick” to get the completed products from the available stock address.
  • Select one or more work order line items and click the “Pick” button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
  • Select the chosen item and click the “Pack” button.
  • Select the package type and enter the deposit tag number to identify the package.
  • Select the quantity to pack, select the shipping type and click the “Save” button.
  • To ship the packed item, select the checkbox and click the “Ship” button.
  • Complete the UPS/FedEx or internal shipping details form and initiate the shipment of work order line items.

Stock Dispatching Through Sales Orders

When a sales order is created with its sales order line items and the payment process is completed, the goods ordered must be shipped to the customer. The stock dispatching process comes into picture here for dispatching goods from inventory to the sales order address.

  • To dispatch sales orders, navigate to the Order Management app > Stock Dispatching tab.
  • Select “Sales Orders” from the dropdown picklist to complete the stock dispatching of sales orders.
  • Select the sales order of interest and click “Pick” to select the products

  • Select one or more line items and click the “Pick” button on the bottom right-hand corner.

  • Once picked, the chosen line items will disappear. Click the “Pack” button to pack these items.
  • Select the package type and enter the deposit tag number to identify the package.

  • Enter the quantity to pack, select the shipping type and click the “Save” button.
  • To ship the packed item, select the checkbox and click the “Ship” button.

  • Complete the UPS/FedEx or internal shipping details form and initiate the shipment of sales order line items.

Stock Dispatching Through Transfer Orders 

One warehouse can run out of stock, while another warehouse may have enough stock. Transfer orders are used to send/receive stock from one site to another. The transfer of goods from one warehouse to another is done by the Stock Dispatching process.

  • To dispatch transfer orders, navigate to the Order Management app > Stock Dispatching tab.
  • Select “Transfer Orders” from the picklist to complete the stock dispatching of transfer orders.

  • Select the transfer order of interest and click “Pick” to get the products.
  • Select one or more line items and click the “Pick” button on the right-hand bottom of the page.

  • Once the item is picked, click the “Pack” button.
  • Select the package type and enter the deposit tag number to identify the package.

  • Enter the quantity to pack, select the shipping type and click the “Save” button.
  • To ship the packed item, select the checkbox and click the “Ship” button.

  • Complete the UPS/FedEx or internal shipping details form and initiate the shipment of transfer order line items.
